Ok, so we’ve had a few trips this year already to see if we like Wales. The answer is yes we do, we have some concerns about finding a property a bit like looking for a needle in a Haystack! we will see how it goes. Nice 2am start for our journey in Matilda our trusty van. So we’ve some dreams of becoming more self-sufficient. I’ve every faith its physically and mentally possible. After at least 12 months looking we may have found our first affordable place with land 3 acres! A very run down Tin hut almost shed-like, but LAND. Could we repair or renovate on looking sadly no to costly? What a disastrous outcome driveway impossible for car access Tin – Hut house total reck and to top it of neighbours had a dog sanctuary which is really lovely and kind work. However, doesn’t fit into my goal of finding a more calm environment all you could hear was yapping dogs. So much for finding calm peaceful countryside. Came away very deflated sorry to say had to reach for 2 biscuits as comfort. Always find the positive, lovely walk up to castle ruins of Dryslwyn. Found a bit of free overnight camping rarity made us happy. Beautiful area trees and all the colours of Autumn. A good night’s sleep for all and early morning bird song.
