Dolaucothi Gold mine.

This gold mine belongs to the National Trust. Very interesting and really informative trip. Went into a mine first mined by the Romans, Victorian s and later Edwardians then finally closed in the 1930s. We learnt that the Romans were superior to the Victorians when mining for gold. Our guide was so polite and really involved our son in the questions and interactive part of the tour. He was the only child in this group and he gained a lot from it.
