Father’s day.

Well most years my husband has had to work on father’s day. As he always had to work Saturday and Sundays.Today we are all home together.Yes we’ve got a list that’s existing and as long as your arm! Of things that need repairing and working on around the house and land. However it’s important to stop our projects and tasks from time to time.Take time out to go somewhere all together.So even though the weather wasn’t the best, we made the effort to step away from other tasks and spend the day together having a walk.We went about 1 hour away from our home.By the time we got there it was raining.So we sat in the car to see if the weather might improve a little.While we waited we shared our tiffin can of mixed salad, olives, dates and nuts and a peanut butter sandwich each.The weather didn’t improve so on with the rain coats and walking boots.To spend a couple of hours taking a walk and exploring a new place.Beautiful even in the rain so must be amazing on a sunny day.Coming home for tea and home made lime cake and coffee cake. To finish the day in rain with bursts of sun and a whole rainbow over the garden stunning.A day that’s made me smile from within.
