So we are now in Co Roscommon small kind of hamlet Granlahan.

Very very rural and quiet and just a few properties spaced out over the farmlands.

The bungalow is tiny but will do us.

Plus side is the back garden is a nice size, just grass really good for our son to enjoy the air, views and constant bird song.

We’ve lots of trees and broken pieces of wood laying around.

Therefore my husband and son have spent days! Happily chopping away logs and kindling.

A huge amount now lays neatly outside the front porch.

Looks beautiful stacked and I’m so proud of their work.

Free fires and free fires at the next home. As we will be sure to cart it along some how!

My son spents time climbing the trees here in the garden.

No longer do we need to drive miles.

To find a forest and pay to park, on top of the petrol costs to get there. Then face traffic jams all the way home. which normally spoilt any benefits of having journied out in the first place.

We just step outside for the views, tree climbing, wood cutting and bird songs.

However of cause there are times we visit beautiful lakes and forests here.

The journeys are longer than UK.

However the amount of traffic on the roads is so so light, that no traffic jams are faced by us.

The scenery and travel therefore is less stressful for sure.

Then on most occasions car parking has been yes free!.

This effect of less traffic and no car parking costs, now make it a pleasure to go out for the day.

In UK we found we never really went out due to traffic and cost.

Now we feel inspired to visit places and know it will be a pleasure and most likely we will not be faced with huge car parking fees.

So thankful to be able to go out as a family.

Most days we enjoy some kind of walk along the country lanes.

Spring is wonderful.

The bird song is wonderful and wilds flowers glore on the grass banks.

Every day we are learning and looking up new flowers or plants.

What they are called, and if they are edible or have any medical qualities.

We see so many birds which we also learn about.

What kind of nests do they have, how many eggs and their colour.

So much to learn and appreciate on these walks.

We now been nomadic with no fixed abode for 5 months.

1 month in Wales.

Now onto month 4 in beautiful Ireland.

Today we leave co Galway.

This is because the air b and b we’ve been renting there now has new guests.

For the months of Dec, Jan and Feb the costs after much searching about to find a good deal on air b and b were not to bad.

Mainly because the time of year being winter non touristy time.

Now we’ve reached March and the prices are rising for sure!!

We still don’t know how long we will need to be in temporary abode land.

Luckliy our estate agent, who we’ve been viewing properties with.

Knew a lady who was happy to take monthly rental payments and not do the standard fixed yearly rental.

We took this offer right way without much care of what the place would be like.

After so many moves now.

A roof is a roof it really is 😉

This will be a rest from all the moving about, we’ve loved the experience really have but now season is rising in price a fixed monthly rental is helpful to us.

So leaving Co Galway for Co Roscommon.

Today I took a photo of our small Ford fiesta.

For the first time.

To show how little 2 adults and 1 child really need to live day to day all our worldly belongings. 😉

2 adults and one child’s stuff 5 months of living in a car boot.

About a 2 hours or so walk.

Not that far from our temporary abode in Clonbur Galway.

A nice forest walk with varied sencery, some nice benches for a stop half way for a cup of tea and time to hear all the bird song.

A little island called white island

where there was a single boat out on the water.

We could see the appeal of this single

man bobbing up and down in his boat, calmly all alone out on the water.

Mostly likely listening to the waters rippling and bird song how wonderful.

Wow what a beach.

Well never in my 40 something years have I seen a beach which has crushed coral under foot!.

Coral and shells shells and shells.

Amazing sight.

Also what a landscape.

Granite rocks, green marble, sand, coral, shells, little stone walls, grassland, horses, cloud formations glore, waves, fresh air.

Beautiful we all smiled today result 😍😍.

Oh this is good 2 trips, one last Wednesday and one this week 😉what a nice little home education community we have found.

Once again a lovely day.

Kids played run and rolled down the hill heaps!!

We had a lovely friendly home education day at strokestown House and Gardens.

The kids enjoyed the woodland and the boys all loved the sticks as they do!.

We found elf cup mushrooms

Wonderful fairy tree ladders and fairy door around the trees magical 😊.

We are in Galway Clonbur for the next few weeks.

So nice to be able to just walk out your front door and get a short with abit of fresh air.

Something that in the UK.

We just didn’t do.

As the local pavements outside my home were far from joyous, and in fact just depressed me with their litter and deprived state.

So happy happy to take strolls here that are free and on the door step.

Nature, and donkeys make me smile.

Today was bright and not a single drop of rain.

The ground was boggy and very slippy indeed.

We pasted a group of young girls also walking down Mount Gable.

They were all taking the event all in good humour! As they slipped and slidded along thier walk.

Often slipping and falling on thier bums in the mud or on a slippy rock.

With screams and fits of laughter at each other.

They had some really Muddy bums.

Trainers where not a good idea!

However they all made it.

We enjoyed the walk loads.

We even sat down on the rock face and could feel the warmth of the sun on our faces wow what a day.

So no house purchase was possible.

Our time in our temporary abode is up.

We need to find new accommodation.

The search for low cost place carry s on again.

We find notthing to stay in within co Roscommon or Co mayo.

However Galway has something so we book that for the next 4 weeks.

While the hunt for a home carrys on😉.

On arrival at our new abode in Galway we walk into our kitchen.

We are welcomed with the most amazing view.

A view which could be a painting!!

So we’ve wandered into Galway for the next month.
